Call it a gut feeling, an intuition, a sensation of truth. Our primal bodies intuitively navigate survival. The choices that we make every day can either honor or negate the intuitive being.
Our human bodies are created with a keen sensory awareness system that is connected to the rhythms in nature. Horses connect with the earth through their hooves; they can sense impending earthquakes and intuitively run towards where it feels safe. Animals in the ocean and birds migrate with the seasons in order to survive.
I believe life is a journey of navigation, navigating the storms, the emotions, the people, and setting sail to live in alignment with your highest sensation of truth. The truth is we are born beings of light with potential that is beyond our imagination.
The questions are always “How do I want to feel?” or “What do I desire?” Then, when answered, believing you are worthy of receiving and feeling this way. The law of attraction is activated through self-acceptance and great joy. So if you are unclear as to what you desire, ask yourself, “What choice can I make right now in order to love myself and make me feel amazing?” When your inner world is aligned, the universe will align to let you shine.
Our sense of separation from each other, and uncertainty, is an illusion. Fear has a grappling effect on our senses and can easily put a kink in our hose of intuition. When we are running too much, in masculine action mode, we have a tendency to stifle our intuitive experience. When we are only in our feminine receptive mode, we lack the direction and containment needed for creation. Our inner guidance system is seeking equanimity, the eye in the storm.
What is true for me is as unique as my fingerprints and DNA. But we all have similar shaped fingers and swirl of DNA; therefore, we are bound to share some commonality among our unique experiences of truth.
My latest practice, in a course I am taking with Wise Women Productions, is called Choice. We are learning that what we create in our lives is determined by the small decisions we make every day.
We are inspecting choices such as:
What job do I want to take?
Where do I want to go today?
With whom do I choose to spend my time?
What food feels like it is honoring my body?
What music makes my heart happy?

We are observing small daily choices and tuning in to our inner guidance system to make our decisions to navigate towards what we want. As I observe my body and her reactions to life’s scenarios, I realize how often I choose out of obligation, fear or guilt. How often I say yes when I mean no.
When I make choices that are negating my intuitive guidance, I usually end up regretting it or finding myself down a path that doesn’t feel right. Sometimes my intuitive inklings don’t make sense in my mind but feel right in my gut.
My latest intuition is to be patient and trust more. Less action oriented, finding the balance between doing and receiving. If I am always in action mode — i.e. I need to do more, keep seeking and struggling in order to have what I want — I begin to lose touch with my feminine, intuitive mode of reception. It is a fine balance.
Making small choices in each moment to serve my highest good and honor myself first is vital. How often do we make choices out of a fear? Staying with a job or relationship you don’t like to avoid stepping out of your comfort zone, only to discover that staying in there is making you depressed and possibly creating illness. Choosing to give to others out of fear of rejection, only to realize you feel resentful afterwards and depleted.
Taking care of yourself first is a vital step to maintaining clear navigational abilities. It is only when we make choices to take care of ourselves and cultivate happiness and inner peace that we can hear the whispers of our intuition.
In situations of crisis, this isn’t always easy. The first thing an emergency responder says is “remain calm”. On the airplane we are instructed to put our own oxygen mask on first. If we are dead how are we able to assist others?
We don’t need to wait until a crisis to listen to our intuition and honor ourselves.
Our happiness, sense of peace and wellbeing is vital to our ability to share with others.

My life thus far has required a lot of courage and bravery. I don’t always feel ready for what is next or the difficult conversations and choices that honor my truth but I know that the burning fire of my inner truth is far more exciting and fulfilling than the stagnant suppression of regret.
We don’t need to know all the answers right now; in fact destination addiction is a real thing! The portal of creation always lives in the right now. Love who you are and what you have. Take outstanding care of yourself and your space you live in, as if you were taking care of your own baby.
Up level your worthiness to receive your greatest heart’s desires and let yourself daydream. Act on the impulses of your passionate inklings, whether that be giving someone a hug, painting with colors that spark you up, connecting with the spirit of nature or giving great thanks for the magnificence of your being.
All the answers and guidance live within you like hidden gems. Make small choices every day that light up your cells. Allow the illusions to clear away and let your gorgeous inner gems absorb the light and love that you are.
