Karin DesChamps CYA-IR

Presently, Karin is a certified Chair Yoga teacher in Peterborough, ON and a newer member of the Canadian Yoga Alliance. Her journey to this end is a tapestry of struggles, challenges and victories that reflect the lives of almost any one of us.

She has been blessed, over the years, to be able to attend conferences with Dr. David Simon, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Rodney Yee, Seane Corn and Davidji!

She is so pleased that her daughter continues to be in remission or rather “cured” as she tells her mom. Karin has remarried a most wonderful man who supports, encourages and loves her to no end! She volunteers to lead workshops for the Central East: Local Health Integration Network providing strategies for healthy living to members of her community who live with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and other serious illnesses. While she also lives with a chronic pain condition that doesn’t allow her to become the “mat yogi” she had envisioned she would be in her retirement, she has been able to become certified as a Chair Yoga teacher and will begin guiding others with accessibility issues in the best darn seated yoga classes in Peterborough this fall. (Tongue-in-cheek, with humility and in her opinion only, Lol!)

Namaste! Om shanti! Breathe!
