When we talk about yoga, most people think about healthy and flexible bodies that do special positions, like headstand or crow position. However, yoga can help the people with special disabilities or life-limiting conditions. According to the Canadian Cancer Society, yoga can be a complementary therapy for such patients.
The following is a verse written about healing yoga for people with life-limiting conditions. It’s a short story about what is going on in a hospice.
Healing is coming…
A dead and dirty space
Many patients are coming every day
Disappointed, impatient, bored…
A beautiful lady
Every day is coming
with enthusiasm
with a bucket of flowers in her hands
flowers for health
alive and well
Organizing yoga, music, and walking classes for patients
Full of love and compassion
and life music
Hands are full of bliss
Heart is full of faith
Doing her job, waiting for miracles
Who knows?
When are the miracles coming?
… I just know
The miracle
She, herself
And, her love for the patients
will do all the miracles
Everything is changing
Look at the seasons!
Color of every face is changing
after everyday tea
which she brings...
Every day is vital
full of energy
and compassion
No matter
The dead and dirty space
Just being
Just breathing
Just doing your yoga practice
Healing is coming…
A dead and dirty space
Many patients are coming every day
Disappointed, impatient, bored…
A beautiful lady
Every day is coming
with enthusiasm
with a bucket of flowers in her hands
flowers for health
alive and well
Organizing yoga, music, and walking classes for patients
Full of love and compassion
and life music
Hands are full of bliss
Heart is full of faith
Doing her job, waiting for miracles
Who knows?
When are the miracles coming?
… I just know
The miracle
She, herself
And, her love for the patients
will do all the miracles
Everything is changing
Look at the seasons!
Color of every face is changing
after everyday tea
which she brings...
Every day is vital
full of energy
and compassion
No matter
The dead and dirty space
Just being
Just breathing
Just doing your yoga practice
Healing is coming…
