Daybook and Other Mini Reviews
A Daybook of Positive Thinking: Daily Affirmations of Gratitude and Happiness
I received this book from a friend for my birthday a couple of years ago. I love this book. It's my go to book for readings during Savasana. The daybook is 123 pages and beautifully illustrated. It contains 122 sayings, quotes and poems.

Linda Sue Park Here is an easy read for ages 11 and up. Yes, it is a children's book, but don't be fooled! The author writes a timeless story set in 12th century Korea full of wisdom, tradition, superstition, and drama. Major themes include finding your path, svadharma, the yamas and niyamas. We have a book club at my yoga studio and we all decided that this is a great read for yogis of all ages. The book won the Newbery Medal for distinguished American literature for children.

Heart Yoga: The Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism
Andrew Harvey and Karuna Erickson, Foreword by Rodney Yee One book, which I loved and worked with a few years ago, and which I recently picked up again is Heart Yoga: The Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism:
The book reminds readers that the purpose of yoga is not to improve one's physical health or even to achieve peace of mind (although these results may be achieved along the way), but to reach a state of unity with the divine, the goal of mystics from all traditions. With detailed descriptions and photographs of fifty yoga poses and their alchemical effects on the body and consciousness, Heart Yoga presents yoga as a simple meditative practice that enables the practitioner to dwell in the heart and experience the bliss of union with the sacred power underlying all of life.
