Kelly McCardle is a professional yoga therapist who specializes in working with people who suffer from chronic pain, chronic health conditions, mental health issues (depression, anxiety, chronic stress and PTSD), and limited mobility, using traditional yogic techniques revised for our contemporary culture and firmly supported by evidence-based research. She received her training, in Ontario, at Integrated Health Yoga Therapy (IHYT).
Shortly after graduation, Kelly created Nelumbo Yoga Therapy. After years of counselling individuals in different states of crises due to mental health or physical health or a combination of both, Kelly envisioned a form of healing that helped individuals to increase their quality of life and lessen their suffering through an integrative approach. Kelly works with individuals on multiple levels: through mind, body and emotion, using a blend of tools from both Eastern and Western traditions supported by recent evidence-based neuroscience research. Kelly has had tremendous success assisting individuals one-on-one through Nelumbo’s Yoga Therapy Program. She is also actively promoting the integration of medical therapeutic yoga into our current healthcare system. Her Yoga for Pain Relief, Small Group Program has been accepted and taught in Ontario Family Health Teams. Her one-on-one Yoga Therapy Program has been taught in psychiatric clinics. She has also successfully teamed with chiropractors and physiotherapists. Needless to say, Kelly is very excited to be working on the cutting edge assisting people by enriching their lives through this mind-body-emotion approach to wellness. www.nelumboyoga.com kelly@nelumboyoga.com |
