Hello CANADIAN YOGIS!
Happy Fall!
Wow ! What a summer past! Crazy weather all over the country…. drought, fire, rain, sunshine galore– what’s next? Got to enjoy the never ending dynamic of Mother Nature.

I’m currently travelling on the east coast of Canada, after leaving the drought stricken west coast. The view from the Cabot Trail makes me want to move to this side of the country but, then again, Nova Scotians are contending with snow sky-high come winter season. Hmm… where to live? Where to do business, and can I get Internet? The perpetual questions of a gypsy shepherd yogi, lol!

Yesterday, I had a conversation with Janette, a nurse living in Seashell B.C., about dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. I’m looking for clear definitive answers as to why people are stricken with these conditions, but my questions persist. Is yoga the preventative medicine? Apparently not, or so I’m told.
Yogis and meditators are not immune to these maladies, nor are individuals able to perform yoga or meditation as the condition worsens or the medications increase. From what Janette tells me it’s the caregivers that need the yoga and meditation. She stressed, “we need help!”
There you go… the writing is on the wall… Get out there and get involved with the caregivers; they need help.
Enjoy the expansive color of the season, the changing personality of Mother Nature.
Keep travelling, keep asking questions and always lend your yogic skills to those that are helping others in need.
