(...I beg for your forgiveness from all, starting with the beginners and ending with advanced spiritual leaders or Gurus, if my expression below hurts their feelings. I love you all and respect your understanding about meditation. By no means, am I trying to say that you are wrong. You all are right, and please continue doing the right things...)
Yoga, pranayama, meditation and Ayurvedic body cleansing procedures are essential to keep one’s body and mind in constant harmony. In such an economic climate, with a global financial crisis, everyone may be engaged in daily work and may not have sufficient time to invest hours in doing yoga and meditation.
Seven different poses can be performed together, at one time, to attain the same positive results achieved by doing each pose individually. While beginners need to proceed step by step and follow strict rules while practicing this, advanced yoga practitioners may do all seven poses together at one time. The writer warns all practitioners not to try this 7-in-1 pose without a family physician’s approval. Advanced students of yoga and meditation may perform this pose with the instruction and strict guidance of Sadguru. The snapshot of this pose is as follows:
|
- The advanced yoga practitioner sits in Sukhasana or Vajrasana.
- The head is tilted up in the super conscious state of mind posture.
- With the eyesight converged on the forehead, at the point between the eyebrows, the gaze is held constant on this ONE point of the forehead until tears start dropping from both eyes.
- Practice Anuloma-Biloma with the right thumb and the middle finger, alternately, at a speed of at least 2 times per second.
- The body is erect but with the spine/spinal cord tilted slightly forward at an average of 88 degrees.
- Exhaling and inhaling at a minimum speed of 2 times per second (i.e. equal to the speed of Anuloma-Biloma), pull the lower abdomen back and up while exhaling and push it outward while exhaling.
- Squeeze the perineal muscles between the last stage of inhaling and the initial stage of exhaling with the same speed of Bhashtrika.
Results:
The power of the eyes will be activated and improve, especially the eye muscles as this creates high blood flow (i.e. providing good nutrition) to the ciliary body, ciliary muscles, suspensor ligaments and various rectus muscles of the eye. As a result, you will be able to stop using glasses to read and write.

Inner Tratak practice will result in the opening of the third eye.
Anuloma-Biloma will reduce the stress, anxiety and respiratory issues.
Bhashtrika pranayama stimulates the upper respiratory tract organs and gastric functions.
Rhythmic contractions perineal muscle stimulate Muladhara chakra helping to awaken Kundalini Shakti.

Samadhi:
When you are tired, after doing this pose (i.e. 7-in-1) continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes, perform Kumbhak. (Inhale using the 3-step process described by the author in a previous article and hold the breath as long as possible using the throat lock.) Start feeling Ecstasy, which is also the initial stage of Samadhi. (PS! Advanced students or teachers of yoga & meditation may contact the writer, through the Canadian Yoga Alliance, and get a free consultation. Some exceptions may apply.)
